I think I'll blog today.

Today has been a pretty good day. I'm just in a good mood, which hasn't been normal lately. I bought a dress for three dollars. I spent the afternoon with one of my best friends. I'm drinking Vanilla Rooibos tea. My hair is being dyed darker again because it has faded since last week.

But mostly, I think it has to do with that fact that today, I've been dwelling on the fact that my God loves me. He thinks I'm valuable. He thinks I'm beautiful. And when I choose to ignore Him, when I choose to do other things with my time rather than spending it with Him, when I fall and fail and mess up, He still sees me as His daughter. God doesn't turn His back on me even though I tried to turn mine. He still wants me even though I didn't want to choose Him..

What God says about me, is true about YOU. He sees you and sees your worth. He thinks you are beautiful. He created you, He loves you, He wants the best for you. He's not going to leave you, ever. He died on the cross for you, He wants you. He doesn't care if you've fallen, messed up, almost given up, He forgives you. He still looks at you and sees your beauty.

 What does the Bible have to say?

Isaiah 43:1-10 (NKJV)

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
      And He who formed you, O Israel:

      “ Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
      I have called you by your name;
      You are Mine.
       2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
      And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
      When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
      Nor shall the flame scorch you.
       3 For I am the LORD your God,
      The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
      I gave Egypt for your ransom,
      Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
       4 Since you were precious in My sight,
      You have been honored,
      And I have loved you;
      Therefore I will give men for you,
      And people for your life.
       5 Fear not, for I am with you;
      I will bring your descendants from the east,
      And gather you from the west;
       6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
      And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’
      Bring My sons from afar,
      And My daughters from the ends of the earth—
       7 Everyone who is called by My name,
      Whom I have created for My glory;
      I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
       8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes,
      And the deaf who have ears.
       9 Let all the nations be gathered together,
      And let the people be assembled.
      Who among them can declare this,
      And show us former things?
      Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified;
      Or let them hear and say, “It is truth.”
       10 “ You are My witnesses,” says the LORD,

This song just brings this point home. I'm basically in love with it. Listen. :)
